The High Performance Software Foundation (HPSF) is at FOSDEM’25 this week!
About FOSDEM
FOSDEM is a yearly free and open source software (FOSS) event that takes place during the 1st weekend of February in Brussels, Belgium every year. FOSDEM’25 is the 25th edition of the event, which brings together open source software developers, maintainers, users, and supporters from all over the world.
The HPC, Big Data, and Data Science devroom is being organised for the 10th time (in a row) at FOSDEM’25, so it’s an anniversary edition in multiple ways.
See you at FOSDEM’25
HPSF is participating in FOSDEM’25 in the following ways:
HPSF Talk
Gregory Becker (LLNL) is presenting a short talk on HPSF in the HPC, Big Data, and Data Science devroom at FOSDEM’25 on Sun 2 Feb. This talk will discuss how HPSF is helping projects to build their communities through neutral governance, collaboration, CI services, training, and events. We’ll talk about what it means to join HPSF and how open source projects and organizations can get involved with this growing community. The talk will be live-streamed via the FOSDEM website, and a recording should be available shortly after.
HPSF Sponsoring HPC, Big Data, and Data Science devroom Group Dinner
HPSF is also sponsoring the traditional HPC devroom group dinner on Saturday, which brings together about 50 people from a broad range of backgrounds for some local food, beers, and great discussions on recent developments and trends in open source software, High-Performance Computing, and more.
HPSF Swag
We’ll be providing HPSF stickers & other swag in the HPC, Big Data, and Data Science devroom, and throughout the event. Come and find us to grab some, and have a chat!
