The High Performance Software Foundation (HPSF) will be at SC25 in St. Louis, Missouri, November 17–21, showcasing tools and technologies that simplify scientific computing and high-performance software management. SC25 brings together researchers, developers, and industry leaders to share innovations in HPC, and HPSF is excited to connect with the community.

Featured Sessions

High Performance Software Foundation Birds of a Feather

This BOF will feature a panel of HPSF community leaders who will give an overview of developments in HPSF over the past year. This will include a status update on CI/CD, benchmarking, and binary packaging working group activities, news about HPSFCon 2026, news from new members and projects, and new outreach activities that HPSF is undertaking.

Spack Community Birds of a Feather

Spack, an open source package manager for scientific computing, supports a rapidly growing community of over 1,500 contributors. This Birds of a Feather session will include updates from the developers on 1.0’s enhanced compiler dependency model, improved parallelism, and stable package API. Attendees will also hear about version 1.1, featuring performance and usability improvements, and participate in a poll to share feedback on 1.0. The session will conclude with an open Q&A to discuss strategies for simplifying HPC software installation and management.

Tutorial: Managing HPC Software Complexity with Spack

This tutorial will introduce Spack’s core capabilities, including installing and authoring packages, managing environments, and deploying optimized software on HPC systems. Attendees will gain practical skills to automate routine workflows and advanced knowledge to handle complex HPC software deployment scenarios.

Meet Us on the Exhibition Floor

HPSF representatives will be available at booth 6134 throughout the week to discuss and demo HPSF projects, HPC software management, and other community initiatives.
